The 1885 Suites is a charming and unusually personal Victorian guest house in the centre of Picton. The beautifully maintained historic property combines period character with contemporary comfort, while its owner provides thoughtful local knowledge. The garden is a welcome private retreat, and the walkable location makes it an excellent base for exploring Prince Edward County.

The guest house is a self-service accommodation - no food is served but guests are welcome to prepare meals and snacks in their fully-equipped suite or visit one of the many excellent restaurants and cafes within walking distance.

All suites are on the second floor (15 steps), each with a queen-sized bed, private bathroom and individually-controlled air conditioning/heating. Free on-site parking and Level 1 EV charging (25 FT, SAE J1772 EV Charging Cable) is available.

To ensure an enjoyable experience for all my guests, The 1885 Suites is reserved for adults only.

Guests can choose one of two apartment-style suites with full kitchens or the spacious studio suite with kitchenette:

Suite A (The Victorian)

Suite B (The Cottage)

Suite C (The Loft)

The 1885 Suites is a comfortable five-minute walk to Picton’s Main Street shops, cafes, the Royal Hotel, the Merrill House and many restaurants. Sandbanks Provincial Park is a 25-minute drive and many amazing wineries, distilleries and craft breweries are only a short distance away. Guest are also welcome to relax in the garden.

The 1885 Suites is licenced by the County of Prince Edward (STA licence ST-2021-0192).
